Den amerikanske sangerinde Indra Rios-Moore er uden tvivl én af de stærkeste soul-gospel-americana stemmer, vi har haft i Danmark.
I starten af 2018 er hun, sammen med bandet Indra, aktuel med et nyt album på det legendariske amerikanske pladeselskab “Impulse!”.
Internationale roser fra både anmeldere, publikum og en Grammy nominering til det seneste album “Heartland” har sat forventningerne op.
Med 3 albums i bagagen og det kommende album “Carry my heart” undervejs drager Indra på landevejen i efteråret 2018 og vinteren 2019. Albummet er produceret af den Grammy vindende amerikanske producer Jay Newland (bl.a. Norah Jones).
Musikalsk set er der stærke rødder i den amerikanske musik med kraftig inspiration fra både
soul, gospel, blues, R&B, americana, jazz og roots. Indra har fundet ind til en lyd og et samspil der er ganske unik. Benjamin Trærup, Thomas Sejthen og Uffe Steen er alle store musikalske kapaciteter på deres instrumenter, og koncerten er en oplevelse i international topklasse.
I Uffe Steen har bandet en guitarist og solist, der ofte spiller koncerter i eget navn, og som hører til blandt de absolut bedste. Repertoiret indeholde både egne sange og nye personlige fortolkninger af bl.a David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Steely Dan og Duke Ellington.

Om Indra:
Historien om Indra begyndte i 2006, da den danske saxofonist Benjamin Trærup på en tur til USA mødte den amerikanske sangerinde Indra Rios-Moore. De to forelskede sig i hinanden, og har siden dannet par både musikalsk og privat. De bor til daglig i Spanien, og turnerer i hele verden. I Danmark får vi mulighed for at nyde dem i to begrænsede perioder i henholdsvis efteråret 2018 og vinteren 2019.
Live er de i selskab med to musikere med international klasse – Thomas Sejthen og Uffe Steen.
